at work...
... very sleepy... this whole day light saving time is very confusing especially if you're like me who's stuck at work at the moment... so at some time from now the time will go back and instead of the time being 1:35am now, it will only be 12:35am... *boink!* but its aight, we get an extra 30 minutes for our break! *yey!* and we get an paid an hour over-time too! but im really very sleepy now.... and this is only my 2nd nights... so far i've been getting good sleep lately but im still very sleepy... this morning when i was on my way home i fell asleep in the subway and i almost missed my stop! *sigh* i cant wait for my break, which is like in 30 more minutes so i can get some rest/sleep!! updates! the visitors are finally ready move out of our house officially!! rigth now, i was told that they are not in our house.. they're gonna sleep over at some common family friend's house until Monday morning.. they will return on Monday just to get their stuffs from our house and move in to their new apartment!! *yey!* im excited but not as much as my mom!! i talked to her this afternoon and she was soo excited!! i mean, who wouldnt, right?! oh... i just remembered... it's halloween!! i'll probably see lotsa people dressed up in some funny or scary costumes later.. so are you gonna dress up?? too bad i cant be part of the "trick or treat"- giving out candies to children who would knock on our doors... i'll be stuck here at work.. the only costume i'll be wearing is my uniform / scrubs!! *hmph!* barely 2 months to go and it's Christmas!! *gawd!* so soon!! so, have you started on your xmas shopping yet?? im excited! i love to xmas shop coz i love spoiling people... i should start making my list!! :: Wednesday, October 27, 2004 :: * the bwisitors indeed! *

.. jaz chillin'... and so i realized how wrong i was... i thought everything was going "ok" in our house since our visitors arrived but no.. on saturday, the minute our visitors left for their thing my mom started expressing the anger and frustrations she's been feeling.. she's not happy at all with our visitors... she hasnt slept for days since the kids keep running up and down the house! how trully inconsiderate could their mom not to control them knowing that my mom needs a good rest during the day becoz she's always working night shifts!! *hmph!* my mom has complained also about how Tita Cora (the mom) always leaves our kitchen dirty and the whole family leaves our washrooms dirty that my mom always has to clean up after them!! they also dont care about saving electricity and water - most of the time they forget to turn off lights in the garage, in the washrooms, and have left faucets running water several times already!! at one point, my mom told me that she even found Tita Cora using our washing machine to wash just 3 pairs of socks!!! how crazy is that??!! anyone with proper "sense" would definitely think that this is ridiculous!! unfortunately too, this family are very..... how should i put it?...... uhmm.... let's just say they are tight with money and so despite the number of times and distance my mom and dad have driven them in our van in places they needed to go, they never atleast even offered to pay for the gas or atleast treat my parents for snacks... never!! my parents said that they dont intend to take the money if they were indeed to offer, they just wanted them to atleast somehow show some sort of gratefulness and generosity after all the help we had given them - "pabalat bunga" was how they put it.. *sighhhhhhh* after hearing all these, i cant help but be really mad at them! I spent my entire Saturday cleaning up our entire house and i let my mom catch up some sleep as much as she could... Good thing the whole family has decided to sleep over at their far relative's house and they came back in our house on Sunday night.. I havent talked to my mom just yet since I left our house on Saturday afternoon, but from what i hear from my sisters the family has finally found a place and they're moving out from our house on Nov. 1!! 5 more days!! I cant wait!! it's about time!! so much damage has been done...! + + + on a happier note, i finally got my final mark for Cardiology Nursing I - A+ baby!! yeah!! unbelievable! i really dont know how i came up with that!! My boyfriend and I rented some DVDS yesterday, so we could just chill and relax until i go back to work on Friday night..

... drained!... wow! i didnt realize that it has already been a week since my last post.. well, i've been quite busy... So Last Saturday, the family friend (with her family) arrived here in Toronto and they've been staying in our house since... So far things are ok.. They've been looking for apartment to rent but have been unsuccessful until now... but that's alright, atleast they're looking right? I was requested by my mom to come home today (even if Im so exhausted from work) just because this family has plans of attending some sort of Filipino Community Seminar thing, which apparently tries to help new immigrants in Toronto, and they wanted me to teach them how to get there using the public transportation here... so fine, here I am, only to find out that the whole family have decided to cancel the whole "teaching" thing just because someone (a far relative of theirs) had offered them a ride.... now, should i be glad or disappointed with that?? so, im not teaching them anymore but i WILL still sleep in our living room's couch because i have no room to stay into; but if i had known earlier that i didnt NEED to come here in the first place, i would definitely have a cozy warm bed to sleep on in Woodbridge... *tsk!* (am i so obviously quite pissed?) On Tuesday, my boyfriend's lolo had a stroke (right sided, hemorrhagic) and he was rushed to the same hospital where im working.. right now, he's ok.. I visited him earlier during my break from work and he's a lot more better today than 2 days ago - he's awake and talking! hopefully he goes home soon coz my bf's whole family has been totally shaken by this whole sudden situation.. On Thursday I had my Final Exams for Cardiology Nursing I... uhmm, i dunno, im not quite sure about this exam... it was tough, that part i know... I dont know the result as of yet but my teacher will try to email us our marks as soon as he can he said... i cant wait! And today, I went to work... it's been HELL!! it was crazy on our floor! I had 2 discharges and 2 new admissions.. and if i didnt complain, i would've had 3 new admissions!! *jesus christ!* im just glad im not back until Monday... And come to think of it, I guess I should be glad that I can sleep in tomorrow *yeah baby!* , oh, and that is if i can on our couch!! + + + i love you too honey ^_^ *mwah!* :: Friday, October 15, 2004 :: *random thoughts*

..lazZy.. day offs are the best!! hmm... what did i do today? i slept until i was really tired to sleep anymore... i pigged out on food like as if ive never eaten for days... and ate more!! *sigh* that's life.... i could definitely get use to this soOo easily!! We were supposed to go to the mall this afternoon to buy my sister a temporary mattress but my mom and tita figured out another way not to, and to save money.. so my mom and i just went grocery shopping instead.. i was quite disappointed coz i was actually a little excited to go to the mall since i havent been there for quite a long time now... just thought i'd stroll around, maybe do some window shopping... maybe next time then.. remember the family friend i mentioned a couple of days ago in my blog? well, they're arriving from Dubai here in Toronto tomorrow evening.. my sister Jenny has temporarily evacuated her room to give this family a room to stay for now and she's gonna stay either in my other sister Sheryll's room or my Tita's house.. as for me, my usual visits and short stay in the house during my day offs may not happen for a few weeks until Jenny and I have finally recovered our room from our visitors.. but it's aight, can't complain now.. imma jaz think of it as our "little" help that we can offer.. but im hoping that they would move out and find their own place soon though ^_^ 
+ my parents' house + my boyfriend's grandparents just arrived here in Toronto this week... I was a little ambivalent of meeting them at first, too scared of what they're gonna "think" of me but they seemed ok, they were nice to me, so i think im gonna really like them ^_^ they reminded me of my lola and lolo back home, and now i miss them.. they gave me 2 boxes of buko pie, one of which i brought home to my parents... *yummy!* my boyfriend got a new cellphone, which was brought along by his grandparents from Philippines.. 
+ Nokia 6600 + it's pretty neat... it has MP3 player as well as video cam.. *sweet!* my part-time class [Cardiology Nursing I] is almost over.. next week is our Finals and our last class... oh by the way, did i mention anytime before that i got unexpectedly and surprisingly good marks for my Mid-Terms?? check it out - 96% *whoa!* how did i do that?? i dunno!! but anyways, hopefully i do good too in our Finals... i think this one is gonna be a little tougher becoz it has a lot more contents.... and shoot!! i knew i was forgetting something that i really need to do today and i finally remembered it now - study!! *tsk!*  :: Monday, October 11, 2004 :: Happy Turkey Day!

..exhausted! Happy thanksgiving to everyone!! It's been a wonderful year for me, so I really am thankful! My family and I had an early thanksgiving celebration - we had lunch yesterday at Buffet King and pigged ourselves out! *LOL!* we didnt have TURKEY but we sure were full!!

...relaxing... finally! a day off!!! *gwad!* it seemed like forever until i could finally have a break, even atleast for a day!! i had a good night rest last night.. my boyfriend and i rented a couple of DVDs last night so we could bum oursleves every night for a week... hehehe! here are just some of them....     
we rent a lot every Tuesdays since the movie store where we rent has specials on Tuesdays - ALL DVDs for only $1.99! we wanted to rent Farenheit 9/11 and the new Aladdin   coz they came out yesterday, but they were all gone! oh well, we'll rent it next week.. we have a family friend (with her family) who's coming here in Toronto (for good) from Dubai in less than 2 weeks time and they've asked us if we could let them stay in our house even for atleast 2 weeks until they get settled... and so yeah, we're gonna have visitors in the house... im not quite thrilled, and i dont think anyone is in our house... well, they're ok but sometimes not... my mom and my tita who are particularly very very meticulous about our house's cleanliness are quite anxious that this family with 3 small kids are somehow gonna create some kinda mess.. personally, i have nothing against them, but when someone in my family is worried, i tend to worry too... and also since our house is just an average size house, we're quite worried as to how we could actually accomodate them in one small bedroom.. *tsk!* but on the brighter side, im sure everything will be just fine, and besides, it's only gonna be for 2 weeks *i hope!* and time does fly by quickly... anyways, i was surfing my friendster and i found this picutre of my cousins with my Tita and Tito... we used to live together under one house in Dubai before, and we had so much fun! very exhausted! this is my 3rd night shift in a row.. im already too exhausted!! im really craving for my bed! i really cant wait to go home! so far it's been a good night *knock on wood* i gave most of my patients some sleeping pills last night.. we had a new admission on the floor... a pysch patient (schizo).. and he really bothers me a lot... im terrified to even look at him.. he looks scary.. he overdosed himself with some sort of medication earlier, i think, and he's here on our floor for cardiac monitoring.. when my fellow nurse asked him why he did it, he said "the voice in my head told me so".. those words are just enough to make me feel "unsafe" around him.. the way he looks is another whole story... his lips are black and.... *goose bumps* i cant even imagine! im already terrified again!! ok, enough about him... nothing really significant and new has happened with me since my last post... i've just been busy at work on nights... if not, trying so hard to catch up some sleep during the day.. i've started doing my driving lessons!! im so excited! i cant wait till i can actually drive my own car! according to my driver instructor im actually pretty good and it wont be long till im ready for my driving exam!! *yey!* im really excited!! anyways, happy hour is over.. need to go back to work... |
